Technology has evolved considerably over a number of years since the tracking of vehicles or objects was first made possible by utilising either "Radio Beacons", "Geo-Positional Satellites", "Mobile GSM Technologies" or any combination of these.


GPS and radio based ‘tracking’ systems have sprung up around the world at a rapid rate in the last 7 or 8 years, and most industries with some form of mobile asset have been targeted by companies promoting tracking products. However, some systems can produce an overload of information, and many are often too expensive to bridge the application boundaries and be also utilised for security applications.


AMI has established an enviable operating infrastructure currently large numbers of units tracking assets deployed to date, AMI is now looking at transforming its products and services, as well as its fundamental business model, to take full advantage of the latest Internet-based and wireless technologies to include a complete tracking, search and recovery solution for missing persons, children, sufferers of Alzheimer’s and Dementia based illnesses and in some cases even animals.

AMI have a number of solutions devised for the Tracking & Location of Individuals. These range from devices for tracking "People at Risk" such as sufferers of Alzheimers, Dementia or the Elderly & Infirm, there are also specific devices for "Children" where we can supply an RF active device the size of a Euro coin that can be secreted within a favoutit toy and once parted from the paired receiver an active alarm is raised. Finally we offer a comprehensive "Lone Worker" solution where the individual carries a small device no larger than a conventional mobile phone that can open up voice communication when at the same time sending the users GPS location to a designated receiver for positioning on digital maps.
